Dr. Tara Campbell, ND, BAH

A natural athlete, marathon runner, Ashtanga Yogi, and holistic foodie, Tara developed a passion for true wellness and active living early on.

Tara graduated from Queen’s University with a BAH in Psychology and Health. As a part time job through University, Tara obtained her Personal Training Certification and worked closely with her clients to maximize their fitness and health. Wanting to help clients take their health higher, Tara went on to complete the four-year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, followed by additional training and licensing in Intravenous Vitamin Therapy. 

Tara’s training in naturopathic medicine, psychology, health, and sport - combined with her life passion for wellness and connecting with others – is what sets her practice and Higher Health apart in care and approach. Tara is simply unstoppable on her mission to improve the health and vitality of her communities.

Dr. Stefanie Trowell, ND

From the age of five, Dr. Stefanie Trowell knew her purpose - she wrote on her kindergarten graduation that she wanted to “help mommies deliver healthy babies”. Today, as a licensed naturopathic doctor, her goal is that and more!

Dr. Trowell helps women optimize their health to achieve fertility and family goals. She is passionate about ensuring the best health outcomes through preconception, pregnancy, postpartum and early childhood. Her light-hearted and practical nature inspires her patients to create balanced, healthy lifestyles.

Dr. Trowell is also a lecturer and a clinical educator at CCNM. Previously, she conducted innovative research in neuroscience, endocrinology and reproduction and presented her research on the efficacy of natural therapies in adjunctive breast cancer care at the 2015 Health Fusion Conference in Calgary, Alberta. She now focuses her skills on understanding the complexity of hormonal and mitochondrial health - a key component in optimizing women's health.

Dr. Laura von Hagen, ND

Dr. Laura von Hagen always knew she wanted to be a doctor. Working as a teaching assistant for medical students, she saw first-hand the damage of poor diet, lifestyle, environmental toxins and stress to the body. She felt empowered to make a difference in our health care system. Her clinical focus includes hormone balancing, fertility optimization and managing menopause.

On graduation from the CCNM, Dr. von Hagen received the Humanitarian Award – a prestigious honour given to the graduating student who best exemplifies dedication to the betterment and service of humanity, through words and deeds that produce meaningful change in the lives of others.

Before joining Higher health, she completed a Bachelor’s of Science Honours Degree with Specialization in Kinesiology at Queen’s University. Dr. von Hagen was then accepted into the exclusive Master’s of Science in Clinical Anatomy at Western University, where she travelled to Africa for a Maternal, Newborn and Child Health in Rwanda (MNCHR) internship.

Dr. Lindsey Walker, ND

Dr. Lindsey Walker grew up as an active teen training in dual aquatic sports – synchronized swimming and competitive swimming. These activities set a firm foundation of self-care through physical activity and nutrition. When it came time for career decisions, naturopathic medicine was a “natural” choice.

Dr. Walker is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), and has received advanced clinical training in Mind Body Medicine from Harvard Medical School. Prior to her naturopathic medical studies, she attended Dalhousie University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.

Dr. Walker maintains a general family practice, providing pediatric through geriatric care. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and has special interest in women’s health, pediatrics, digestive disorders, dermatology and weight management.

When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Dr. Walker still in the pool, on the slopes or in the great outdoors with her husband and young sons.

Dr. Jacqui Zins, ND

Dr. Jacqui Zins was drawn to naturopathic medicine because of its integrative and holistic model of care. She believes in addressing the root cause of illness – combining the best of science and natural medicine - and takes the time to understand each patient’s individual concerns. She is committed to educating and empowering her patients with tools to take charge of their health.

Dr. Zins has a special interest in digestive concerns, mental health, hormonal imbalances and women’s health. Her kind and compassionate approach to patient-centered care ensures that her patients feel supported and inspired to live balanced, healthy lives.

Dr. Zins completed her training at CCNM where she received the Governor’s award for academic excellence. Prior to studying Naturopathic Medicine, she completed an honours degree in Biology at Queen’s University. In her spare time, Dr. Zins enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, running, skiing and spending time with friends and family.

Vanessa Bond, CNP, NNCP, BA

Vanessa Bond, holistic nutritionist, has always talked food. In university, she worked the restaurant circuit, followed by a decade of public relations campaigns for some of Canada’s biggest food brands. But she wanted to learn more.

A graduate of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition with Exemplary Achievement (head of class), Vanessa now has over five years clinical experience helping people navigate food allergies, digestive issues, autoimmune disease and more. She delivers nutrition plans that are practical and flexible for real lives.

Vanessa is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners. She holds many continuing education certificates, including live cell microscopy, balancing blood sugar, applied nutritional endocrinology, energy medicine and fat loss.

Vanessa is mom to a tween and teen, and lives in the neighbourhood. She loves spinning, yoga, paleo baking with her daughter and spending time in Collingwood.

Jeremy Wulkan, LHP, RYT, PT

Jeremy's journey to bodywork started over many years ago when he was first introduced to Thai Massage. Upon experiencing his first treatment, he was captivated by the ancient healing art. Leaving with a revived body and enlightened mind, his life course shifted and he felt compelled to share these benefits with everyone.

He pursued studies at Lotus Palm Institute of Thai Massage, where he became a certified practitioner of Thai massage. Furthering his education, he adopted various modalities allowing him to create a unique personalized form of bodywork. He now combines Thai massage with shiatsu and myofascial release techniques providing a very effective healing approach.
